Fun Events In The Triangle For The Entire Family

 June is great month for families to get out of the house and do things together.  The kids in traditional schools are finishing up the school year and the weather outside is nice.  If you are looking for some cool activities to do with the kids this month, here are a few examples the whole family will enjoy.

 

NC Symphony Summerfest: A Space Spectacular -  If you are looking for a way to spend time outdoors with your family and want to hear some great music, this is the event for you.  This event is at 7:30 on Saturday, June 10th at Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary.  They symphony will be highlighting some of our favorite space themed music from film and television.  The cool part about it is that tickets for children under the age of 12 are free of charge when you sit on the lawn.   Other tickets are available from between 17-35 dollars.  You can check out more info about this event at www.boothamphitheatre.com

 

Meet The Animals - Come out to the Museum of Natural Sciences on June 17th at 1:30 and 2:30 to meet a live animal.  From alligators to opossums, come see a new live animal each week.  The programs are free and fun for all ages.  It is best policy to show up a few minutes early because the programs begin right on time.  If you would like more information you can check out their website at www.naturalsciences.org.

 

Family Movie Night at Joyner Park -  The Wake Forest PRCR is hosting this event June 24th at 8:30pm.  The event is free and open to all ages.  Bring a chair, blanket, and bug spray and enjoy a movie underneath the stars.  Smoking, alcohol, and pets are prohibited.  Check out www.wakeforestnc.gov for more information on the event.   

 

Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo -  This event is for all of the foodies in your family.  The event is on Sunday, June 11th from 12:00pm-7:00pm.  There will be over 50 food trucks from all over the state spread out over 11 blocks in downtown Raleigh.
