Pineapple Grilled Pork Chops
Here is what you are going to need in order to make this delicious Asian themed pork chop recipe.
8oz can of pineapple rings, juice drained and reserved
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
Over night or about 8 hours before you are going to cook the recipe, mix the drained pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a large sealable bag. I mixed all of the ingredients together in a bowl and then transferred them to the bag. I found this way to be easier. Place the pork chops in the bag and let them marinate for up to 8 hours.
Preheat your grill for medium high heat. On a gas grill this somewhere between 375 and 450 degrees. Remove the chops from the bag and place them on the grill. Brush the chops with the excess marinade while you let them cook about 6-8 minutes on each side. Place the unused pineapple rings on the grill as well, and let them cook until they have been browned by the grates of the grill. When they are done, you serve the pork chops with the pineapple on top.
When I first saw this recipe I knew that it was going to be a good one. It did not disappoint. The glaze on the chops tasted heavy of soy sauce, but the pineapple really complemented the meal. I really enjoyed this recipe. I served it with rice pilaf and green beans. Try out this recipe and let us know what you thought.
